SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
2.1
Product specifications
This product is a motor for a hinged gate, for resid-
ential use. To ensure compliance with standard EN
60335-2-103, this product must be installed with a
Somfy control box. The assembly is designated as a
"motorisation".
The main purpose of these instructions is to satisfy
the requirements of the aforementioned standard
and to ensure the safety of equipment and persons.

residential use as defined in standard EN
60335-2-103, with which it complies.

Caution - Important safety instructions
DANGER
The drive must be installed and set by a pro-
fessional drive and home automation installer,
in compliance with the regulations of the
country in which it has been commissioned.
Furthermore, they must follow the instruc-
tions in this manual throughout the installa-
tion procedure. Failure to comply with these
instructions may result in serious injury.
Users do not have the right to make any
modifications whatsoever.
WARNING
For reasons of personal safety, it is important
to follow all the instructions, as incorrect use
can lead to serious injury. Retain these in-
structions.
The keypad for setting the parameters is
locked to ensure user safety. The parameters
must only be unlocked and adjusted by a pro-
fessional drive and home automation installer.
Any changes which do not comply with these
instructions could result in personal injury or
property damage. Somfy cannot be held liable
for any damage resulting from non-compli-
ance with the instructions in this manual.
WARNING
Using the product
It is strictly prohibited to use this product on
any other gate than the original.
It is prohibited to add any accessory or com-
ponent not recommended by Somfy. Failure
to follow these instructions could result in
serious injury, e.g. crushing by the gate.
If you have any doubts over using the drive, or to
obtain additional information, please consult the
website www.somfy.com.
These instructions may be modified in the event of a
change to the standards or the drive.
