3.5 Safety Assembly Instructions

The terminal device operated with the filter must be free of limescale prior to installation.
Caution: No water softening system may be operated upstream from the filter system.

Protect the filter system from sunlight and mechanical damage. Do not assemble near sources
of heat and open flames.
•
A stop valve must be installed before the filter system intake hose.
•
If the water pressure is higher than 6.9 bar (100 psi), a pressure reducer must be installed
before the filter system.
•
A non-return valve according to DIN EN 13959 tested by the DVGW has been factory installed
at the water intake of the filter head.
•
No copper pipes, galvanised or nickel-plated pipes/connectors may be installed between the
water filter and the consumer. The use of VIVREAU PURITY hose sets is recommended here.
When choosing the material for parts that come into contact with water after the VIVREAU
PURITY filter system i.e. hoses it must be remembered that, due to the process, decarbonised
water contains free carbon dioxide.

All parts must be installed in accordance with the country-specific guidelines on the installation
of drinking water facilities.
4 Installation
Caution: Prior to installation, read the technical data (Chapter 12) and the operating and safety informa-

tion (Chapter 3). After storage at below 0°C (32°F) the product must be stored at the ambient temperature
of the installation location in its original packaging (opened) for a least 24 hours prior to commissioning.
4.1 Scope of Delivery
To install an VIVREAU PURITY Quell ST new filter you need packaging units pressure vessel (1)
(incl. filter cartridge) and pressure vessel lid (3).
Prior to installation, remove entire package contents and check that everything is present:

4.2 Assembling Pressure Vessel and Pressure Vessel Lid

Stand with both feet on the foot rests
