Operating instructions
Shutdown
1. If the appliance has been used for high pressure cleaning with hot water or
weeding close the burner switch on the control (V in fi gure 16).
2. If the device was used for the injection of soap, install a high nozzle
yellow, green or white pressure (T on fi gure 14) at the end of the wand outlet.
3. Squeeze the trigger of the spray gun until the water flows evenly and clear.
Ensure the water temperature is less than 100 ° F (40 ° C).
4. Release the spray gun trigger.
5. Let the engine run at idle speed for a few seconds (X in fi gure 17).
6. Push the throttle lever to the "OFF" position (X in fi gure 17).
7. Close the water supply valve.
8. Squeeze the spray gun trigger to depressurize the system.
9. Make sure that all nozzles, gun and lance are properly stored in their place.
10. Make sure that all safety equipment is stored in its place.
Freezing protection
During winter and cold periods, the equipment is at risks of freezing, it is
recomded to take the following precautions immediately after stopping the
machine:
1. Leave a minimum of 6 in / 15 cm of water in the tank.
2. The unloader must be set for weed-control (+- 1000 psi) and the mode valve in
washing mode.
3. Close the valve under the tank on the suction line.
4. Unscrew the elbow fi tting at the strainer outlet going to the pump.
5. Remove the nozzle at the lance outlet.
6. Using a cord or something else, attach the gun trigger open.
7. Start the engine at its minimum speed, the burner in off mode.
8. Using a container fi lled with a 50% automotive anti-freeze and 50% water, poor
coninuously the liquid into the elbow of the strainer outlet until the engine is off .
NEVER use plumbing antifreeze, alcohol or windshield washer fluid.
9. When you see the antifreeze going begins to sink at the end of the lance, release
the gun trigger.
10. Let the anti-freeze return to the tank for 10 seconds.
11. Stop the engine.
12. Squeeze the spray gun trigger to depressurize the system.
13. Unscrew the elbow at the strainer inlet, open the valve under the tank on the suction line to drain the tank.
14. Antifreeze can be collected the next freezing protection you use it and reused, provided the concentration is measured and antifreeze
is added to the solution if necessary.
To collect the antifreeze, connect a water supply hose to the elbow of the strainer outlet going to the pump.
Open the valve of this hose. Do not start the engine. The water supply pressure will be suffi cient to gently push the solution out.
Dispose of used antifreeze in accordance with environmental rules. Keep in a securely closed container, then take to the nearest
authorized disposal depot. Do not throw into landfi ll or empty into the ground or sewer drains.
15. Remove and store the 2 pressure gauges and the bottom of the pump suction strainer at a frost-free place.
IMPORTANT:
• Remember that at 32 ° F (0 ° C) the device can freeze and damage components.
