Remove   s tains/dirty   p atches   a s   f ollows:

First   r inse   t he   p arts   o f   t he   a ppliance   w ith   w ater

Prepare   a   s olution   o f   b icarbonate   a nd   w ater  
§
Clean   t he   p arts   o f   t he   a ppliance   w ith   t he   s olution   o f   b icarbonate   a nd   w ater  
§
Rinse   t he   p arts   o ff   w ith   w ater   a nd   d ry.

• PREPARING   T HE   F RUIT/VEGETABLES  
 
Always   u se   f resh   f ruit   a nd   v egetables.  
o
Carefully  wash  the  fruit  or  vegetables,  remove  any  hard  parts,  stone  any  fruit  with  
o
stones,   c ore   a ny   f ruit   w ith   a   l ot   o f   p ips   o r   s eeds,   s uch   a s   m elons,   r emove   t he   l eaves  
from   t he   c elery.   O nly   u se   a rtichoke   h earts   i n   t he   j uicer.  
Not   a ll   t ypes   o f   f ruit   o r   v egetables   h ave   t o   b e   p eeled.   T ypes   w ith   t hin,   s mooth   p eel  
o
(apples,  pears,  peaches,  apricots  or  tomatoes),  press  very  well  with  their  peel/skin  
left   o n.  
It  is  not  possible  to  achieve  a  good  juicing  with  soft  fruits  (banana,  papaya,  mango,  
o
avocado,   e tc.).  
You   g et   t he   g reatest   y ield   o f   j uice   w ith   t he   h ardest   p ossible   f ruit   o r   v egetables.

• USE   A ND   S TORAGE   O F   T HE   J UICE  
 
IMPORTANT:   All   juices   should   be   used   straight   away   because   they   oxidise   quickly  
o
with   t he   a ir,   w hich   i mpairs   t heir   f lavour   a nd   c olour.  
To  reduce  the  effects  of  oxidisation  and  changes  in  colour,  add  a  few  drops  of  
§
lemon   j uice   t o   t he   p ressed   j uice   ( especially   w ith   c arrot,   a pple   a nd   p ear   j uice).  
If   y ou   h ave   p ressed   t he   f ruit/vegetables   a   l ong   t ime   b efore   y ou   a re   g oing   t o   u se  
§
the   j uice,   c over   i t   w ell   a nd   s tore   i t   i n   t he   r efrigerator.  
CAUTION:   D o   n ot   s tore   t he   j uice   f or   l onger   t han   2 4   h ours.  
o
It   i s   c ompletely   n ormal   t o   h ave   a   l ittle   p ulp   f rom   t he   f ruit   i n   t he   j uice.   T his   e nhances  
o
the   f lavour   a nd   i ncreases   i ts   n utritional   v alue.  
 
• USING   T HE   L EFTOVER   P ULP  
 
The   p ulp   t hat   i s   l eft   o ver   i n   t he   c ontainer   c an   b e   u sed   i n   s auces,   s oups   o r   j ams,   e tc.

Cook   t he   p ulp   o f   t he   v egetables   o r   f ruit   f or   a round   3 0   m inutes   o n   a   l ow   h eat.  
o
