Additional safety information – Bandsaws
Hold power tool by insulated gripping
surfaces, when performing an operation
where the cutting accessory may
contact hidden wiring. Cutting accessories
contacting a "live" wire may make exposed
metal parts of the power tool "live" and could
give the operator an electric shock.
Keep your hands out of the sawing area and
away from the blade.
Before you use the portable bandsaw, make
sure that it is clean.
Stop working with the machine if you ever
notice anything unusual. Before you use the
tool, always make sure that each component
is fitted properly and securely.
Always take care when you fit or remove the
blade.
Always keep your hands away from the
blade's cutting path.
Always wait for the motor to reach full speed
before you start to saw.
Always keep the handles dry, clean and free
of oil and grease. Hold the tool securely while
you are working with it.
Stay alert at all times, particularly when you
are carrying out repetitive, monotonous
operations. Take care that your hands are
always in the correct position relative to the
blade.
Never remove the workpiece stop.
Stay clear of end pieces that drop after
sawing. They might be hot, sharp and/or
heavy. The results could be serious injuries.
Air vents often cover moving parts and should
be kept clear. Loose clothing, jewelry or long
