6. Commissioning and use
This product is intended for domestic use only.
1.
You can lubricate the plates with a little vegetable oil to ensure that you can
easily remove the leftovers after baking.
2.
Close the lid and then lock the handle.
3.
Insert the mains plug of the appliance into the socket. The „POWER" status
indicator lights up.
4.
Switch on the appliance by turning the roasting/browning level control and
select your preferred browning level. The appliance will then start to heat
up.
5.
When the heating elements have reached their operating temperature,
the green „Ready" status indicator switches off and the appliance is ready
for use.
6.
Open the lid with the handle by releasing the lock first.
7.
Now pour some waffle batter into the lower plate.
8.
Close the lid and then lock the handle.
9.
While the appliance is switched on, the green light goes on and off as the
thermostat switches on and off to maintain the desired degree of toasting/
browning.
10.
The baking time depends on your personal taste. Experiment with the ba-
king time and the degree of roasting/browning to achieve optimum results.
11.
Stay close to the appliance and check regularly that the food is ready.
12.
Unlock and lift the handle to open the lid when the food is ready.
13.
Remove the food from the plate. Always use a pot holder to remove the
food from the appliance. Do not use sharp objects as this can damage the
non-stick coating.
14.
Close the lid to save the heat for further use.
15.
To switch off the appliance, turn the roasting/browning control to the
„0" position (left) and remove the plug from the socket. If the roasting/
browning level control is set to the „0" position, the heating elements and
the thermostat will not work. The „POWER" status light remains lit until the
plug is removed from the socket.
16.
Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
