Safety-related information
– Before using this product, carefully read the instructions
for use.
– Strictly follow the instructions for use. The user must fully
understand and strictly observe the instructions. Use the
product only for the purposes specified in the intended use
section of this document.
– Use only genuine Dräger spare parts and accessories.
Otherwise, the proper functioning of the product may be
impaired.
– Do not use a faulty or incomplete product. Do not modify
the product.

2.1
About this document
This document is intended for trained equipment managers
and Dräger service engineers. Dräger recommends attending
a Dräger equipment management seminar before
independently performing the maintenance activities
described.
Information about Dräger equipment management
seminars can be obtained from Dräger Sales or
www.draeger.com.
This document describes maintenance activities applicable to
the following full face masks:
– X-plore 5500
– X-plore 6300
– X-plore 6530
– X-plore 6570
2.2
Meaning of the warning notices
The following warning notices are used in this document to
alert the user to potential hazards. The meanings of the
warning notices are defined as follows:

Maintenance work
3.1
General notes
1. Check all parts for deformation and damage and replace if
necessary.
2. Following any maintenance work and/or replacement of
components, repeat the leak test.
3.2
Inspection and maintenance intervals
The following information complies with the DGUV-R 112-190
valid in Germany. Observe national directives.
Work to be carried out
Check by the device user
Cleaning and disinfecting
Visual inspection, function and leak test
Replace exhalation valve disc
Replace the speech diaphragm
Replace O-ring of the speech dia-
phragm
1) For full face masks in air-tight packaging, otherwise every 6 months
2) For full face masks in air-tight packaging: every 2 years
3.3
Cleaning and disinfecting
General notes
Clean and disinfect the facepiece after every use.
WARNING
Danger of poisoning!
Residues of skin care products can reduce the elasticity in the
sealing area and cause the facepiece to no longer sit
correctly.
► Thoroughly clean the mask body so that no residue of any
skin care product remains on the mask body.
NOTICE
Risk of damaging the material!
For cleaning and disinfecting, do not use any solvents (e.g.
acetone or alcohol) or cleaning agents with scouring particles.
► Only follow the specified procedure and use the specified
cleaning and disinfecting agents. Other agents, dosages
and application times may cause damage to the product.
