FITTING

Remove bumper - 1 plastic fastener on lower edge of bumper tips - bumper support brackets - disconnect wiring to lights mounted
in bumper - temporarily disconnect rear door stay - from underside of vehicle unclip black plastic bumper trim and remove –
(NOTE: For safety re-fit rear door stay) – 5 bolts across top edge of bumper – 1 plastic fastener on left hand side of door opening –
unclip bumper tips (NOTE: these clips can be very awkward and may need to be levered apart in some cases, whilst ensuring no
damage is caused to the bumper.) – slide bumper off rearwards. Remove lower bumper support plates and upper packing.

Attach Angle Bracket (E) to existing captive nuts in lower face of rear cross member with Bolts (D). Tighten Bolts (D) fully at this
stage.

Loosely attach Main Plate (A) to rear face of cross member using Bolts (F) and to Angle Bracket (E) using Bolts (G). Loosely attach
Centre Strut (C) to Main Plate (A) and Angle Bracket (E) using Bolts (H).

Remove towing eye from left hand chassis. Loosely attach Side Arms (J) and (K) to captive nuts in chassis using Bolts (L). Attach
Side Arms (J) and (K) to captive nuts in chassis along with original towing eye using Bolts (M). Attach top of Side Arms (J) and (K)
to rear cross member using Bolts (N). Using Side Arms (J) and (K) as a guide, drill through lower part of cross member and attach
using Bolts (P). Tighten all bolts and fit bolt caps.

Cut off ends of bumper support brackets as shown below. Cut upper bumper packing to fit around (J) and (K). Re-fit bumper.
NOTE: Centre Strut (C) can be fitted either way round to adjust the towball height.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
