A 1 Cross Bar with European facing 94/20/EC – A50 - 1
C 1 Side Arm left hand
D 1 Side Arm right hand
G 1 Brace Plate left hand
H 1 Brace Plate right hand
K 1 Spreader Plate left hand
L 1 Spreader Plate right hand
M 2 Tie Bar
N 2 Captive Bolt
P 4 M12 x 40 x 1.25 Bolts, Flat Washers (25 O.D) and Lock Washers
Q 4 M10 x 30 x 1.5 Bolts, Nuts, 8 off Flat Washers (25 O.D)and Lock Washers
R 2 M12 x 1.75 Nuts, Flat Washers (25 O.D) and Lock Washers.
S 8 M8 x 30 x 1.25 Bolts, Nuts, 16 off Flat Washers (25 O.D) and Lock Washers.
T 6 M12 x 50 x 1.75 Bolts, 4 off Nuts, Flat Washers (25 O.D) and Lock Washers.
U 2 M8 x 30 x 1.5 Bolts, Flat Washers and Lock Washers(25 O.D).
V 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
CB 2 M16 x 50mm x 2.00 Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
FITTING
1. Remove the plastic under tray and towing eye on the left hand side. Remove the two plastic plugs on the lower
edge of the bumper.
2. Lower the rearmost exhaust silencer, remove the heat shield and drill extra hole as shown. Cut bumper as
shown.
3. Insert Captive Bolts (N) into the chassis through the large existing access hole (18 dia on bottom face of
chassis rail), it will be necessary to enlarge this access hole to approx 20mm.
4. Attach sidearms (C) & (D) using fixings (R) and Tie Bars (M) using fixings (P) and (U). Note, It maybe
necessary to bend rear most exhaust hanger forward to fit tie bar.
5. Pull back the lower edge of the bumper and insert Cross Bar (A). Attach Cross Bar (A) to sidearms using
fixings (T).
6. Loosen inner trim on each side of boot to reveal 4 holes spanning outer wing and boot floor (Holes will have
rubber bungs in) insert spreader plates (K) & (L) on inside to span joint in body work, and fix using outer
bolts (S). Attach Brace Plates (G) and (H) using fixings (Q) and remaining fixings (S).
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball
dimensionally Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
