1.
DESCRIPTION: Electronic control device designed to control the temperature from 2 to 6 independent zones in centralised duct
type air conditioning installations. The room wireless thermostats are connected by radio, with a central control panel which manages
the motorised dampers installed in each zone and the ON/OFF of the ducted electronic Air Handling Unit (AHU).
2.
SYSTEM WIRING: All of the system components are wired to the control centre.
It is recommended that you locate it close to the inner unit of the air conditioning
equipment, placed in an elevated position and far from metallic parts. Place that
control panel not accessible to the general public. Fix it into the wall using screws
or use the rear DIN rail fixation.
2.1. Power: Supply the centre with 230 VAC on the Power Supply terminals, wires Smin=1 mm
2.2. Antenna: Locate and aim the antenna in the false ceiling in a place where radio signal reception is favourable.
2.3. Motorised dampers: Connect the motors for each regulation to terminal blocks 1 to 6 on the board. Use a wire (red (+) / black (-))

in Zone 5 of the figure. The MASTER zone should be connected to output 1.
2.4. Air conditioning equipment: The control panel can be connected or not at the production equipment depending on the type of
installation:
2.4.1.
KSP-SUB (Sub-zone installation): The system is not connected at the
production equipment because they remain some zones without regulation. The
changeover (heating/cooling) is automatically made by the sound temperature
which is installed in the supply duct. NEVER install a regulation damper and a zone
thermostat in the room where is installed the machine thermostat, in that case the
system will not function properly.
2.4.2.
KSP (Zoning installation): The control panel is connected to the internal unit of AHU. There are manly two different ways off
doing this connection:
Using communication interface: Between the KSP control panel and the AHU a communication interface is installed. It is
2.4.1.1.
connected in the A B (Rs 485) output of the central and it allows the automatic modulation of the fan speeds (depending of the number
of zones opened), changeover between heating and colling from the master thermostat from MADEL and optimisation of the inverter
system. The AHU thermostat is just needed for maintenance purposes and can be installed in the false ceiling near the internal unit.
Without communication interface: The dry contact Y (KSP output) is used to connect the machine and the KSP control
2.4.1.2.
panel, it allows the ON/OFF of the unit when any zone is calling for heating or cooling (depending on the master thermostat). The
machine thermostat cannot be replaced and must always be connected to prevent the air conditioning equipment from stopping. Thus,
select the a high set-point temperature in summer and a low set-point temperature in winter. Heating/Cooling changeover must be
made on the machine thermostat and on the master thermostat
2.5. NTC Sound: Even using the system as a Sub-zone or as a Zoning System its necessary to install the sound temperature.
-
KSP-SUB (Sub-zone installation): The NTC sound temperature should be obligatory installed in the supply duct to measure the
air temperature and position the system whether is working in heating or cooling mode. It should be installed in the main duct
assuring that the air always passes through the sound.
-
KSP (Zoning installation): Non obligatory whith electronic machines and some interfaces. In that case, the sound measures the
return air temperature. And it works as a safety sensor and stops the AHU when the sound temperature is too low or too high.
2.6. Power-free input (remote ON/OFF): This work as a normally-open voltage-free contact. They provide remote access to the
centre from domotics equipment, fire or smoke detection centres, etc. On closing the contact, the centre will carry out a switching off
cycle and will automatically reset if the contact re-opens.
