9. CONNECTING THE CUFF TO THE MONITOR
Insert the cuff tubing into the connector provided on the monitor. Make certain that
it is positioned correctly to prevent air leakage during readings.
Avoid compressing the connection tube during measurement, this may cause an
injury or give false results.
10. SOME SUGGESTIONS BEFORE MEASUREMENT
1. Remove all jewellery (watch, bracelet ...) from your left hand.
2. Palm up, slip on the cuff so that the monitor display faces you in the reading direction.
3. The cuff should be one or two centimetres from your palm.
4. When the cuff is properly positioned, hold it in place by pressing the tab firmly against the Velcro.
Notes:
- Always measure the same arm (normally left) for a better interpretation of the results. If you cannot put the cuff on
your left arm, you can use your right arm.
11. HOW TO USE THE CUFF
1. Wrap the cuff on your upper arm as illustrated; make sure that it is 1-2 cm from the elbow, with the air tube facing the inner arm.

2. Make sure that the lower edge of the cuff (air tube - approximately 3cm long) is placed over the
main artery of the inner arm.
3. Adjust the cuff without over-tightening, so that there is no gap between the arm and cuff. This could
distort the results. Do not take measurements over clothing.
4. Tighten the free end of the cuff and close it with the Velcro.
5. Make sure that the tube is not folded or rolled up on itself.
Note:
Always measure the same arm (normally left) for a better interpretation of the results. If you cannot put the
cuff on your left arm, you can use your right arm.
