WEIGHTS SEPARATION PROGRAM
For aluminium and light alloy rims (ALU 2, ALU 3 and Pax
2 wheel balancing programs).
The purpose of the weight separation program is to al-
low adhesive imbalance correction weights to be hidden
behind the rim spokes. If after a balancing cycle the ex-
ternal weight is in a visible position it is possible to sub-
divideit between the two adjacent (fig.22).
After selecting one of the above mentioned programs, the
machine works in the automatic mode through the sensor
(fig.22a). If the automatic mode has been set (fig.23-A)
the machine automatically detects the number of spokes
in the rim and splits the weight between two contiguous
spokes.
It is also possible to operate in the manual mode, by set-
ting the machine as shown on fig. 23-B.
When the launch is finished, the machine automatically
detects how many spokes are in the rim. At this stage, the
operator has two possibilities:
1. to select NO: the operator will balance the wheel in
the normal way;
2. to select YES: the machine splits automatically the
weight behind the spokes.
