OPERATION - PAIRING THE REMOTE CONTROL / MODE SELECTION
The procedure for pairing the remote control depends on the confi guration of the manoeuvring
aid you have installed in your caravan It is extremely important that the remote control is set
in the correct mode to ensure that the manoeuvring aid functions as intended With two-axle
vehicles, for example, the turning possibilities are quite different from those of a single-axle ca-
ravan Only if you set the manoeuvring aid correctly can you get the best possible performance
out of it
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the remote control (see ‚Operation - Remote con-
trol functions') and the structure of the electronic control unit These must be set to both the
correct model and mode for your axle confi guration To set the correct model, follow the table
below:

switch on the remote control
On the remote control (1), press and hold the [ENG] (fi g1I) and [DENG] (fi g1J) buttons for one
second to enter pairing mode The indicator LED (Fig1B) on your remote control should fl ash
green continuously Press the small sync button (fi g3) on your electronic control unit (2) The
LED on this box should fl ash red rapidly before making a small clicking sound The indicator LED
(Fig1B) on your remote control should be solid green and the LED on the electronic control
unit (2) should fl ash red slowly to indicate that the two are paired
If you do not change this, the remote control will be in single axis mode by default If the re-
mote control is not in default mode, press and hold the [FL] (fi g 1E) and [FN] (fi g 1K) buttons
for 5 seconds to select single axis mode The remote beeps once to indicate that the mode has
been set to Single Axis Once set, the remote control and control unit remember their assign-
ment and are fully functional after switching on
