TERMOROSSELLA Plus DSA / Forno DSA – TERMONICOLETTA DSA / Forno DSA
To ignite the fire, we recommend the use of small wooden slats with paper or other means of ignition on the market,
excluding liquids e.g. alcohol, petrol, paraffin and similar.
The openings for the air (primary and secondary) must be opened at the same time only for a short period (the
butterfly valve positioned on the fumes outlet pipe must also be opened). When the wood starts to burn, adjust the air
for combustion according to the indications in paragraph 10.
ATTENTION: during the first ignitions a consistent condensation of fumes may take place with a small
escape of water from the thermoheating stove; this is a phenomenon that is destined to
disappear in a short amount of time, if it should, however, result persistent the flue chimney
effect must be checked.
The thermoheating stove must never be overloaded. Too much fuel and too much air for combustion can
cause overheating and therefore damage the thermoheating stove. Damage caused by overheating is not
covered by the warranty.
10. NORMAL FUNCTIONING
ATTENTION: For no reason must the fire be ignited before the system has been completely filled with water;
doing this would lead to serious damage of the entire structure.
The appliances with automatic door closure (type 1) must function, for safety reasons, with the door of the fireplace
closed (except to load fuel or to remove ash).
The appliances that do not have automatic door closure (type 2) must be connected to their own flue. Functioning with
the door open is only allowed under surveillance.
IMPORTANT: given the noteworthy dimensions of the loading door, we recommend that it is opened very slowly to
prevent the exit of fumes. For safety reasons, the fireplace door can only be opened to load fuel.
The fireplace must remain closed during functioning and the period of non-use.
The emission of heat from the thermoheating stove is adjusted using the regulators positioned on the face. They must
be opened according to heat requirement. The best combustion (with minimum emissions) is reached when, on
loading wood, most of the air for combustion passes through the secondary air regulator. The adjustment of the
regulators necessary to obtain the nominal heat yield with a depression at the chimney of 17-20 Pa (= 1.7-2 mm water
column) is the following:
The thermoheating stove must never be overloaded.
The thermoheating stove must never be overloaded. Too much fuel and too much air for combustion can
cause overheating and therefore damage the thermoheating stove. Damage caused by overheating is not
covered by the warranty.
The thermoheating stove must always be used with the door closed to prevent the forge effect.
As well as regulating the air for combustion, the intensity of the combustion and therefore the heat yield of your
thermoheating stove are affected by the chimney. A good chimney effect requires reduced regulation of the
combustion air, while a slight chimney effect more greatly requires exact regulation of the air for combustion.
To check good combustion of the thermoheating stove, check whether the smoke that escapes from the chimney is
transparent. If it is white it means that it is not adjusted correctly or the wood is too wet; if the smoke is grey or black it
is a sign that combustion is not complete (a larger amount of secondary air is required).
11. OVEN USE (if present)
After cleaning the grill, load some fuel. Thanks to the air intake due to combustion, the oven temperature may be
significantly affected. Sufficient draught to the chimney and channels well-cleaned due to the flow of scorching fumes
around the oven are essential for a good cooking result. The oven pan may be located on different levels. Thick cakes
and large roasts must be placed on the lowest level.
Flat cakes and biscuits should be placed on the medium level. The upper level can be used to heat or brown.
12. POWER CUT
In the eventuality of a sudden power cut during normal functioning of the system, the following simple manoeuvres
must be performed to prevent the thermoheating stove boiling due to the pump not functioning.
1.
Close the primary and secondary air regulators completely in a way to suffocate the flame as much as
possible.
2.
Close the fumes regulator, if present, in order to further limit the flow of combustion air through any
slots.
