5. Lock the splitter by pushing the splitter locking lever down.
sure the splitter is locked securely.
6. Place the blade throat plate back on.
To adjust the splitter to be in the storage position
Repeat the above steps 1 to 3, slide the splitter down to the storage
position. Lock the splitter locking lever. Lower the blade to the lowest
position. The splitter should be under the saw table.
To adjust the alignment of the splitter
The splitter must be precisely INLINe with the saw blade. Loosen the
two screws (4b), align the splitter with the saw blade. Once aligned,
hold the splitter in position and tighten the two screws.
WarninG:
always unplug the saw from power source before
make any adjustments.
INSTALLING THE BLADE GUARD (FIG 9,10)
1. Position the blade guard assembly (2) over the "L" shaped
slot (4c) on the splitter so that the pin (2b) engages the slot
completely. See FIG 9.
2. Place the blade guard assembly down on the splitter. Depress the
silver lock button (2a). so that the lock pin engages fully into the
slot (4d).
3. Release the silver lock button to secure. See FIG 10.
MITER GAUGE INSTALLATION (FIG 11)
The miter gauge is pre-assembled at the factory. To install it, simply
slide miter gauge guide into the miter gauge groove on the saw table
as shown in FIG 11.
NOTE:
There are two miter gauge grooves, one on either side of
the blade. When making a 90° cross cut, you may use either of the
grooves. When bevel cutting, use the groove on the right side so that
the blade is tilted away from the miter gauge and your hand.
MITER GAUGE ADJUSTMENT (FIG 12)
To adjust the miter gauge angle,
lock handle (7a) and rotate the miter gauge body (7e) so that the "0"
mark on the end of the sliding bar points to desired position. Then
tighten the lock handle. See FIG 12.
NOTE:
The miter gauge body has marks at 5 degrees increments.
The sliding bar (7c) has marks at 1 degree increments. Read both to
get an accurate angle degree.
To adjust the miter gauge fence,
(7d) and slide the fence (7b) to the desired position. Then tighten the
lock knob.
RIP FENCE INSTALLATION (FIG 13,14)
The rip fence is pre-assembled at the factory. To install the rip fence,
place the end furthest (8c) from the lock handle (8a) so that flange
is over the rear edge of the table, then lower the end closest to the
handle over the front rail. When the lock down handle is in the uP
position, the flanges are relaxed, allowing you to re-position the rip
Fence. When the lock down handle is in the DOWN position, the
flanges are locked with rails in place. See FIG 14.
