How to Use Automatic Needle
Threader
Tilt the needle clamp. (See page 36).
Pass a length of thread horizontally into the
threader groove.
Rotate threader so the small triangle is facing
up and thread is lying horizontally to you.
Gently press the threader against the needle
and slide threader down the needle front.
The narrow tongue in the threader pushes the
thread through the eye and a loop is formed.
Use your fingers to grasp the loop and pull the
thread through the needle eye and under the
presser foot.
Tilt the needle clamp down and put the
needle clamp safety lever back in position.
Tension Release Lever
Once threading is complete, press and hold
the tension release lever while pulling the
threads forward for about 10 cm (4"). This
lever can also be used to remove stitches
from the needle plate.
