Maintenance

Before each journey, check the bicycle carrier for wear. Defective
metal parts and tension belts in particular must be replaced.
To replace the parts, contact our customer service.
Any change to original parts and materials or to the structure of the
bicycle carrier may impair safety and performance.
The steel parts of the bicycle carrier have been protected from cor-
rosion by powder coating in the factory. If this layer of paint is da-
maged, ensure that the damage is rectified professionally as soon as
possible.
Under normal conditions, the bicycle carrier requires only cleaning
and is otherwise maintenance-free.
Adjusting the quick-release mechanism.
Perform this maintenance only if the bicycle carrier cannot be fitted
firmly on the tow hitch as described in the chapter on Fitting.
Remove the bicycle carrier from the tow hitch, as described

under Removal.
Pull off the protective dust cap.

Loosen the locknut a little, as shown in the illustration.

Tighten the adjusting screw by a quarter turn.

Tighten the locknut.

Check that the carrier is now sitting firmly on the tow hitch, as

described under Fitting. If not, repeat the steps described above.

Disposal

Due to its lighting system, the bicycle carrier is an
electrical device.
Do not dispose of electrical appliances in household
waste! Discarded electrical and electronic equip-
ment must be collected separately and recycled in
an environmentally sound manner.
Contact your municipal or city government on how
to dispose of old electronic equipment.
The materials are recyclable. You are making an
important contribution to protecting our environ-
ment through recycling, material recycling or other
forms of re-utilising old appliances!
Dispose of the bicycle rack in accordance with the
laws and conditions in your country.
