Important safety recommendations
• When using the conditioner, always respect these few basic safety
precautions:
Only ever use the cellar conditioner for its intended purpose, as described in
this guide.
Never unplug the unit by pulling on the power lead. Hold the plug firmly and
pull it directly from the socket in a straight line. Never use a split lead or one
with signs of wear along the length. Always have any damaged lead replaced by
a qualified electrician.
Do not allow children to climb or hang on the cellar conditioner, they could
be seriously injured and damage the conditioner.
• The power supply (mains):
Important
FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, THE CONDITIONER MUST BE CORRECTLY
EARTHED.
Your cellar conditioner's power lead comes without a plug.
You may fit a standard electrical plug or a qualified electrician
may make a hard-wired connection to a junction box.
Whatever the case, the unit must always be connected to an
earthed terminal in order to avoid any risk of electric shocks.
Have your mains socket tested by an electrician to make sure
that it is correctly earthed, and if necessary have it brought into conformity
with standards.
