ADJUSTMENT
WARNING:
Before performing any adjustment, make sure the
tool is unplugged from the power supply and the
switch is in the OFF position. Failure to heed this
warning could result in serious personal injury.
The saw has been adjusted at the factory for making very
accurate cuts. However, some of the components might
have been jarred out of alignment during shipping. Also,
over a period of time, readjustment will probably become
necessary due to wear.
Do not start any adjustments until you have checked with
a square and made test cuts to be sure adjustments are
needed.
TO SQUARE THE CUTTING WHEEL TO THE
TABLE
See Figure 21.
Do not loosen any bolts for this adjustment until you have
checked with a square and made test cuts to be sure adjust-
ments are necessary. Once the bolts are loosened, these
items must be reset.
 Unplug the saw.
 Remove the bevel table.
 Lift and remove the caps covering the four hex bolts.
 Using a hex key, loosen hex bolts on the saw table.
 Place a framing square against the rip guide and the flat
part of the wheel.
 Move the saw table until the fence is square with the
cutting wheel.
 Tighten the hex bolts securely and replace caps.
TO ADJUST CAM ON LOCKING LEVER
ASSEMBLY
See Figure 22.
Over time, the rip guide may become loose. If the rip guide
does not lock securely to the saw table, adjustments may
be required.
 Unplug the saw.
 Remove the locking lever assembly from the rip guide.
 Using a wrench and screwdriver, loosen and remove the
screw and nut securing the cam to the lever assembly.
 Pull the cam out slightly and rotate the cam one tooth
then align the teeth in the cam with the slots in the side
of the locking lever.
 Reinstall the screw and nut. Tighten securely.
NOTE: If the rip guide is still loose, repeat the above steps
as needed.
