Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use. If a longer extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of that
power cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance
and the cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop
or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding type 3 wire cord.

STARTING PROCEDURE AND SET UP
• Remove all packaging and ensure parts 1-6 (see diagram 1) are included.
• Wash grill/griddle top, raclette dishes and spatulas in hot water and wipe dry.
• To set up unit, line up grill/griddle top with side supports and position
into place.
• Place raclette dishes onto tray surface.
• Plug electrical cord into power outlet.
• Before using marinated foods, lightly oil or grease grill/griddle top.
• Never use nonstick cooking spray as it will burn onto the grill
• Heat nonstick grill/griddle top for 8 to 10 minutes at the highest level.
Once heated, turn temperature control dial to required level.
CLEANING
• Unplug appliance before cleaning.
• Allow appliance to cool off, wipe with damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
• Wash grill/griddle top, raclette dishes and spatulas in warm water with mild
detergent. Ensure the grill/griddle top is completely dried immediately after
cleaning.
• Do not use steel wool, wire brushes or abrasive cleaners. If necessary, leave to
soak.
CARING FOR THE NONSTICK GRILL/GRIDDLE TOP:
• Dishwasher safe.
• Do not use nonstick sprays on grill/griddle top or raclette dishes.
• Use only nonstick utensils on grill/griddle top.
