CHECKING AND CLEANING
THE BURNER ASSEMBLY
If your burner does not burn, blows out, burns yellow, or there is a flame inside
the venturi, you need to check the burner venturi for any obstructions.
Dirt, spiders and other insects may block air and gas flow. A clogged tube
can lead to a fire beneath the cooker. KEEP AIR SHUTTER CLOSED
AFTER EACH USE.
1. Turn gas off at the control knob and disconnect tank.
2. Remove burner by unscrewing the opening end of the hose and
burner mount bar.
3. Clean inlet (venturi) of burner with small bo le brush or compressed air.
4. Remove all food residue and dirt on outside of burner surface.
5. Clean any clogged openings with heavy-duty pipe cleaner or a
stiff wire.
6. Inspect burner for any damage (cracks or holes). If damage is found,
replace it with new burner.
7. Reinstall burner according to the step 2 of page 4.
LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS
During installation and use, the propane tank must be lower than the valve
regulator fi ing to prevent liquid propane from entering the regulator
causing damage or possible safety hazard.
1. Read all instructions before lighting.
2. Place a long lit match over the top of the cast iron burner.
3. Turn the propane tank ON first, then open the regulator valve slowly
until the burner is lit. After use, turn regulator valve OFF first, then the
propane tank OFF.
4. If ignition does not occur in 5 seconds, turn the regulator control OFF,
wait 5 minutes and repeat lighting procedure.
5. Place your pot on the stand once the burner is lit.
6. If the burner flame is accidentally extinguished, turn off the knob and
wait 5 minutes before trying to light again. If the burner does not
ignite with the valve open or if the burner flame goes out after lighting,
propane gas will continue to flow out of the burner and could accidentally
ignite, causing risks of injury.
