SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• FOR HOUSEHOLD OUTDOOR USE ONLY. NOT FOR COMMERCIAL USE.
• THIS APPLIANCE IS NOT INTENDED TO BE USED IN RECREATIONAL
VEHICLES OR BOATS.
• Minimum distance from the side and back of cooker to walls or
railings is 9' 10" (3 M). Do not use under overhang construction.
Place propane tank 24" (61 CM) away from the cooker.
• For outdoor use only. DO NOT USE indoors. NEVER use as a space
heater.
• DO NOT USE or store propane tank in building, garage or enclosed
area.
• Know the odour of propane gas. If you hear, see or smell leaking
propane gas, immediately clear everyone away from the tank and call
the fire department. Do not a empt to repair.
• Propane gas is heavier than air and may se le in low places while
dissipating.
• Always connect the appliance when tank valve is turned OFF.
• Do not store a spare propane tank under or near this cooker.
• Do not use, store or transport tank where it would be exposed to high
temperatures. Relief valve may open allowing a large amount of gas to
release. For transport, always leave tank in an upright position with
valve TURNED OFF.
• DO NOT a empt to disconnect any gas fi ing while your cooker is in
operation.
• DO NOT use the cooker in high wind.
• Your cooker should be cleaned regularly. When cleaning your cooker,
do not use abrasive cleaners as it will damage parts of this product.
• The use of alcohol, prescription or non-prescription drugs may impair
the consumer's ability to properly assemble or safely operate the
appliance.
• When cooking, the appliance must be on a level, stable surface in an
area clear of combustible material. An asphalt surface (blacktop) may
not be acceptable for this purpose.
• Do not fill cooking pot more than 1/3 of the pot's full capacity. This will
help avoid dangerous boil-overs.
• Do not place empty cooking pot on the cooker while in operation. Use
caution when placing anything in cooking pot while the cooker is in
operation.
• Do not move the cooker when in use. Allow the cooking pot to cool to
115°F (46°C) before moving or storing.
• Do not leave the appliance una ended, keep children and pets away
from the cooker at all times.
• Keep the area free and clear from combustible materials, gasoline
and other flammable vapours and liquids.
• Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and air ventilation.
• Keep any electrical supply cords and the fuel supply hose away from
any heated surfaces.
• The propane tank must be manufactured and marked in accordance
with the specifications of CAN/CSA B339 standards of propane gas
tanks and tubes for the transportation of dangerous goods.
• Disconnect tank from cooker when not in use.
• Only tanks marked Propane may be used.
• If storing the cooker indoors, disconnect tank from unit. Tank must be
stored outdoors, out of reach of children, and must not be stored in a
building, garage or any enclosed area.
• The tank supply system must be arranged for vapour withdrawal.
• This appliance will be hot during and after use. Use insulated oven
mi s or gloves to protect you from hot surfaces or spla er from
cooking liquid.
• Never use a cooking pot larger than the capacity and diameter
recommended by the manufacturer.
• Avoid bumping or impacts with the appliance to prevent spillage or
splashing of hot cooking liquid.
• Never drop food or accessories into hot cooking liquid. Lower food
and accessories slowly in order to prevent splashing or overflow.
When removing food from the appliance, care shall be taken to avoid
burns from hot cooking liquid.
• Keep the ventilation openings of the tank free and clear of all debris.
• The appliance shall not be used on or under any apartment or
condominium balcony or deck.
