SYSTEM EXAMPLES
(The MC2410M mixing console is shown here. The MC3210M could equally well be used for any of these
| applications).
STAGE MONITORING SETUP
The following diagram illustrates a possible monitoring sit-
uation, using a second sub-monitor mixing console "cas-
caded" with the first console, in order to accomodate а
large
number
of
inputs.
For
example,
cascading
an
MC3210M console with an MC2410M would provide a total
of 56 inputs. The CUE CTRL terminals of both consoles are
connected,
providing
full-function
cueing from the тат
unit. An echo unit is patched into the AUX 1 circuit. The
AUX 1 controls on the input channels will function as indi-
vidual echo sends for each instrument, and the AUX 1 OUT
control is the master echo send. Echo return is adjusted
using the RETURN
level control,
and the echo
can
be
assigned to any of the ten monitor mixes, according to the
performers' wishes, using the RETURN
in assign switches.
A mono tape deck is patched into the RETURN 2 input. For
setting the overall level of each monitor when the perform-
ers are not present, a tape can be played through
each

is connected to a monitor amp via a graphic equalizer, for
accurate equalization of each monitor, and for "ringing out"
(controlling feedback
by lowering frequency response
at
feedback
peak frequencies) the system. These
equalizers
could also be connected to the GROUP INSERT terminals.
Two of the input INSERTS are connected to effects units - a
compressor (useful for adding punch to vocals, for exam-
ple) and a noise gate (which could be used to eliminate
hum from a guitar). Any effects units could be used, in the
input inserts for individual
instruments,
or in the group
inserts for individual monitor mixes.
The operator can monitor on headphones or via an ampli-
fier/speaker system connected to the CUE OUT, by pressing
the appropriate cue switches.
