LED Displays
If the flight control determines any malfunctions during self-test, motor start or in flight, these functional problems are
visually indicated via the LED displays of „LED1" and „LED2". The following LED codes are possible:
Normal operation:
Initialisation
Initialising OK, not started
Motor on, throttle to low
Flight operation
Emergency landing (*)
Neutral position reconciliation
Radio loss (*)
Throttle not in the bottom-most position (*)
Low-Bat level 1 and 2 (*)
Motor error (*)
LED displays marked (*) are safety displays. The causes for the these must be explored and resolved!
Radio loss (impaired radio connection)
Possible causes: Receiver crystal has fallen from the socket; receiver crystal defective; receiver aerial broken; receiver
has lost „binding" and must be newly „bound"; receiver aerial not extended; second receiver with same transmission
channel active; batteries/rechargeable batteries of the transmitter flat.
Check the possible cause and try starting again.
If there is any permanent radio interference during flight, the QuadroCopter will start an emergency landing and the
LEDs will also indicate an impaired radio link here by flashing.
Emergency charging function
During operation, a permanent radio interference prevails. The QuadroCopter starts an emergency landing
independently. The red and green LEDs flash slowly and simultaneously. Observe the section „Radio outage" and find
the cause.
If you control the QuadroCopter with a computer remote control with integrated failsafe function, the failsafe
must be deactivated. If the failsafe cannot be deactivated entirely, the flight control will recognise the
failsafe signal as a control signal. This will prevent the flight control from initiating emergency landing
function contrary to the information of the operating instructions. Signal encoder and LED displays also will
not react as shown in the operating instructions. In this case., we recommend to try and determine a
suitable throttle position in failsafe operation that will initiate „gentle" landing by the corresponding throttle
control.
