Cleaning the machine body
Clean the machine body with a damp cloth or
a sponge, rinsing frequently with hot water. Dry
carefully.
Cleaning the sharpener
Clean the body with a damp cloth and the
springs with a semi-rigid brush.
CLEANING THE COMPONENTS
CONTAINED IN THE BASEPLATE
The particular content of the baseplate does not
require specific cleaning. It is sufficient to occa-
sionally eliminate the dust residue which man
accumulate in the travel limit area of the car-
riage and the thickness gauge adjuster plate.

Instructions for removal of the blade
If the accessory for removal of the blade has
been provided with the machine, proceed as
follows:

Operate with great care and without distraction.

- disconnect the machine from the electrical
mains;
- remove the blade shield rotating it 90° anti-
clockwise using the special knob (see section
6.2.2);
- position the blade extractor (1) operating
as shown in the figure, inserting the external
edge of the ring carefully inside the blade
shield ring, bringing it to rest in the area (2)
of the blade;
- settle the extractor (1) correctly and tighten
the knurled knob screws all the way in the
threaded holes of the blade (3);
- loosen and remove the screws (4) of the blade
which secure it to the central motor pin;
- extract the blade-extractor unit using the
knurled knobs (3);
- conduct a careful cleaning of the seats ac-
cording to the methods described in section
6.2.3;
- reassemble the slicer blade again using the
same procedure.
