MATERIALS
A 1 Tubular Mainframe with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
C1 2 Side Arm (1 off each hand)
D 2 M10 x 50mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Small Flat Washers (20mm O.D.)
D1 2 Spreader Plates
D2 2 Bushes (19mm O.D. 16mm long)
E 4 M10 x 30mm Bolts, 2 Nuts and Lock Washers
F 4 M10 x 35mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Large Flat Washers (40mm O.D.)
X 2 Flat Washers (30mm O.D.)
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Remove plastic bumper skin (7 studs on top, 3 below and 4 tip screws) leaving bumper frame attached to
vehicle. Inside boot move trim from above the frame? Cut bumper as shown.
Note: HONDA BUMPER does not have the moulded line.
2. Remove blanking plugs from bottom of chassis. Insert Side Arms (C1) into open ends of chassis and loosely
attach using Bolts (F).
3. Temporarily remove existing nut at (X) (inside the boot) and insert Bushes (D2) into existing hole at (D).
4. Loosely attach Spreader Plates (D1) to Side Arms (C1) using Bolts (D) and to the existing stud on the rear panel
using Nuts (X) with Flat Washer (X) between rear panel and Spreader Plates (D1).
5. Attach Mainframe (A) to Side Arms (C1) using Bolts (E).
6. Tighten all Bolts and replace the bumper.
This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
