2. SAFETy INSTRucTIONS
The safety regulations set out in the appropriate points in the operating
manual must be observed for operating, servicing, installing and repai-
ring the support device. The safety regulations for the tractor and trailer
vehicle are also valid.
After its careful installation check the function of the support device. If it
is not used for the purpose for which it is designed, the support device
may constitute considerable potential danger.
Riding with damaged spindle support device is forbidden.
Observe the regulations for road traffic and the accident prevention
regulations issued by the professional associations, in particular

Ask the manufacturer about the device's suitability for other applications.
– Observe lifting device and load during all movements.
– Do not leave the load suspended without supervision.
– Transport device protected against impacts and shocks, falling over or
toppling.
– Maximum load does not exceed!
– Do not carriage persons.
– People are not allowed to stand neither in, nor on, nor under the raised
load without additional support.

Normal use
The haacon spindle support device is designed for mounting on a trailer
vehicle. It serves to support the uncoupled trailer, idem for levelling while
coupling the trailer. It is not a device suitable for operating on its own.
It must not be brought into circulation until it has been established that
the trailer vehicle with the support device complies with the national
regulations for road traffic.
The support device may only be operated in conjunction with the opera-
ting manuals of the tractor and trailer vehicles and the one supplied with
the support device.
The spindle support device
– Only operate following the instructions.
– Only use when in perfect working order.
– Only allow to be operated by personnel instructed on how to do so.
– Only use on a substrate with sufficient load-bearing capacity.
Safe working practices
– First read the operating instructions.
– Always be conscious of safety and hazards when working.
– Immediately report any damage or defects to the person in charge.
– Repair equipment first before continuing work!
Do not:
– Overload (–> technical data, type plate, payload plate)
– Persons dwelling under the suspended load.
– Machine drive.
– Impacts, blows.
Use exclusions
– Not suitable for permanent operation and vibration stress.
– Not approved for use in explosive areas/environments.
– Not suitable for aggressive environments.
– Not suitable for lifting hazardous loads.
Organisational measures
– Keep parking area free of persons and hindrances.
– Ensure that these operating instructions are always at hand.
– Ensure that only trained personnel work with the equipment .
– Check at regular intervals whether it is being used in a safety and
hazard conscious manner.
