Make sure that the grill is switched off. plug into an earthed socket.
press the on/off switch to the setting i to switch on the grill.
IMPORTANT REMARkS
the stone is a natural product. Small rips can become visible during use. this
is a normal phenomenon and is not covered by the warranty. the stone can also
change colour and become darker. this does not affect the performance of the
appliance.
if the stone plate has been stored in a humid surrounding, make sure to put it in a
regular environment at room temperature 2 days in advance.
avoid shocks when moving the stone plate. also avoid strong temperature
changes.
Do not put food on the hot stone that is too large, too cold or frozen.
never sprinkle cold water on a hot stone, the stone plate might crack.
never move a stone that is still hot, to avoid burns and cracks in the stone.
only place food onto the stone. never place any heavy objects on top of the
stone.
if you use meat that is marinated, know that the spices will be absorbed by the
stone. this may cause colour change of the stone and may give a special taste to
the grilled meat.
STONE GRILLING
place the appliance in the middle of the table. Make sure that the space around the
appliance is properly ventilated.
Place the stone with its shiny side and overflow edges upwards.
never place a cold stone on a preheated appliance.
Wait until you are sure that the stone is sufficiently hot before cooking on it; allow
the appliance a minimum of 10 and maximum 30 minutes to preheat.
apply a very thin layer of salt to the stone to prevent sticking. caution: do not use
any oil on the stone.
never place frozen foodstuffs on the stone, always defrost them beforehand.
Do not place sour foodstuffs (gherkins, pearl onions) on the stone.
never touch the hot stone with your bare hands.
cut meat into small squares to shorten cooking time.
