The staple will sink into the plastic as it heats. Twist the staple when the
staple' s flat part is below the components surface and the melting plastic
is covering it. This will lock it into place.

Release the trigger and wait several seconds to allow the plastic to
solidify.

Pull the hot stapler off the staple and set aside.

Snip each staple leg off with side cutters, so it is flush with the
workpiece's surface.

A needle wrench is inlcuded for this task, as the supplied staples are
notched for snapping. Slide the needle wrench over a staple leg and
snap the tool upward to break the staple leg.
10. Repeat steps 3 to 9 for each staple.

File the staple stubs down to avoid puncture injuries when handling the
workpiece.

You can also use a sander or angle grinder to eliminate any staple
legs sticking out from the surface.
HOT STAPLES
There are a variety of hot staples suitable for different
purposes.
The staples are available in either 0.6 or 0.8 mm size.
Check your manual for the correct size before using the
hot stapler.
A pre-cut staple is notched to permit you to remove the legs
with a special tool or pliers instead of wire-cutters, although
you can still use wire cutters.
Wave Staple - Wave staples cover a large surface area and
can bridge several cracks at once. They are the primary hot
staple used in repairs (Fig. 2).
Flat Staple - Similar to the wave staple, the thinner profile is
suitable for finer cracks or narrow areas such as the lip of a
workpiece that can't accept a wave staple (Fig. 3).
Outside Corner Staple - The V-shaped portion of the staple is
applied against an exterior corner (Fig. 4).
Inside Corner Staple - The A-shaped portion of the staple is
applied against the inner corner (Fig. 5).
