Installing the Unit
Under-counter installation requires plywood sheathing to be
attached underneath the solid material countertop for mounting
of the induction warmer. The distance between the top of the
warmer and the top surface of the countertop is critical for
proper operation of the unit.
1. Remove the unit from the carton.
2. Remove tape and protective packaging from all surfaces of
the unit.

3. Cut and drill the appropriate holes in the vertical surface
where the control panel will be installed. Refer to the
"Installing the Control Panel" procedure for cutout
dimensions.
4. Cut the required openings in the cabinetry to provide proper
ventilation to the induction warmer. Refer to the "Ventilation
Requirements" listed previously in this section.
5. If necessary, make structural modifications or add bracing
underneath the countertop to ensure the countertop will
support the weight of the unit, the pans, and the food
product.
NOTE: The countertop must be level to ensure proper operation
of the Induction Warmer.
6. Using the trivet included with the warmer on the top side
of the countertop, determine the desired position for the
induction warmer to be mounted on the underside of the
countertop.

7. Install the appropriate thickness of plywood sheathing to
the underside of the solid material countertop.
• For a 30 mm countertop, use 1/2" thick plywood.
• For a 20 mm countertop, use 3/4" thick plywood.
• If desired, two plywood strips can be used instead of a
solid piece of plywood. Each strip must be minimum of
4" (102 mm) wide.
8. For installations underneath 30 mm countertop and 1/2"
thick plywood, remove the two metal spacer strips attached
to the hard plastic surface of the warmer. For each strip:
• Remove the two screws securing the strip to the plastic

surface, and discard the strip.
• Replace the two screws into the plastic surface. Tighten
securely.

"Installing the Control Panel" procedure.
12. Plug the unit into a properly grounded electrical receptacle
of the correct voltage, size, and plug configuration. See the
