A GENERAL
Please read these instructions thoroughly before using this product and follow all the
information contained within. Failure to observe these instructions can lead to a reduction
in the protection this product provides.
Please note: mountaineering and climbing are dangerous sports which may lead to
unforeseable risks. You are personally responsible for every action and decision you take.
You should acquaint yourself with the related risks before undertaking these activities.
WILD COUNTRY recommends that you seek proper training from professionals (such as
mountain guides or climbing schools) before any mountain-related activity. It is important
to become familiar with rescue operations and how they are carried out safely and correct-
ly. The manufacturer declines any responsibility in case of improper or wrong use. Make
sure all the components in your protection equipment are certified.
This product is made in conformity with PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and with
Regulation 2016/425 on personal protective equipment as brought into UK law and
amended.

The product meets the category III for personal protective equipment (PPE).
B INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Only use the product for the purpose for which it was constructed and never burden it
beyond its limits.

The correct use is shown in diagram B.
WARNING: We have not shown all possible misuses.
Sling, for climbing and mountaineering purposes, for use in normal climatic conditions.
Always make sure that the carabiner is properly connected to the belay system and that
any external bodies, such as small stones, do not hinder its correct closing.
The Wild Country slings comply to EN 566:2017 Standard.
Properly place quickdraws, following the line of the route. The same applies for the sub-
sequent placing of the rope.
This product protects against the risk of falling during climbing and mountaineering.
C SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before use, carefully check each product part. Diagram C
xx kN: The tensile strength (in kN) that we ensure for the new product in accordance with
the relevant standard. See specifications for more detail.
Loose fibres on the sling are a clear sign that the product must be retired.
The instructions for use supplied with the product are always to be stored with the prod-
uct. This product is only to be used by appropriately trained and/or competent persons,
or when the user is under the direct supervision of such a qualified person.
Make sure compatible and certified parts are used. We recommend the sole use of moun-
taineering equipment which complies to the relevant Norms, e.g. EN 892 for ropes, EN
566 for quickdraw slings and EN 12275 for carabiners.
WARNING
Do not use the device astride sharp edges.
WARNING
If there is the least doubt about the safety of the product, it is to be replaced immediately.
A product which has been subject to a fall impact force is not to be used again.
Any change to this product can reduce safety significantly.
Every component should be checked for signs of damage and wear before and during
each use. If you come across any of these, you should retire the product immediately.
If the sling is damaged, it is necessary to immediately stop using the device and replace it.
ATTENTION: Dyneema has a low melting point of 140 ° C.
D LIFESPAN
The lifespan of the product is dependent on a number of factors, such as the manner and
frequency of use, UV exposure, moisture, ice, effects of weather, storage conditions, and
dirt (sand, salt, etc.). Under extreme conditions the lifespan can be reduced to a single
usageor even less, if the equipment has suffered damage (for example during transport)
before ever being used. Please note: Products manufactured from synthetic fibres are
subject to ageing even when not used. This ageing depends mainly on environmental
conditions as well as the impact of UV light.
Indications of the product's maximum lifespan:
Never: Correct storage: up to 10 years since production
Once or twice a year: up to 7 years
Once a month: up to 5 years
More times a month: up to 3 years
Every week: up to 1 year
Almost daily: up to 0.5 year
Frayed yarn clearly means that the product must be replaced.
E CLEANING, STORAGE, TRANSPORT AND SERVICING
See diagram E for guidelines on correct storage and care.
Do not allow this product to come into contact with aggressive chemicals (e. g. battery
acid, solvents) or expose it to extreme temperatures as these events can have a negative
impact on the mechanical features of the materials.
Ensure that the product is kept safe during storage and transport and is protected from
damage.
If necessary (eg. contact with dirt or saltwater), wash the product in lukewarm water and
and rinse with clear water (max. 30°). Make sure that the product does not come into
contact with chemicals. Leave to dry at room temperature.
Disinfect the material only with substances which have no impact on the synthetic material
used.
