8 Maintenance
8.1 During technical inspections, observe the instructions in this manual and the
applicable health and safety rules and regulations.
DANGER: BEFORE PERFORMING ANY TYPE OF SERVICE, ENSURE THAT THE
COMPRESSOR IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE POWER. THE AIR SYSTEM MUST BE
SWITCHED OFF AND MUST NOT BE PRESSURISED!
DANGER: SOME EQUIPMENT SURFACES CAN BECOME VERY HOT!
8.2 In order to ensure the continuous and safe operation of the compressor, follow the
maintenance instructions as specified in Table 1.

8.2.1 Oil level checks (oil-lubricated compressors only)
Check the oil level daily and before each use. The oil level in the crankcase of the
compressor unit must not fall below the red mark on the window. For models
without a window, there is a dipstick at the rear end of the compressor,whereby the
oil level must be within the marks. If necessary, fill oil to the desired height
(Point 8.2.2).
- Check the oil level and adjust (oil-lubricated compressors

- External inspection of the compressor (8.2.12)
- Check connection tightness of the air line (8.2.10)
- Drain condensate from the pressure vessel (8.2.9)
- Clean dust and dirt from compressor (8.2.13)
-Check the tightening torque of the cylinder head bolts in the
piston cylinder (8.2.5)
- Check the tightening torque of the cylinder head bolts in the
piston cylinder (8.2.5)
- Check the belt tension (belt-driven compressors only)

- Check the suction filter (filter element) (8.2.7)
- Check the belt tension (belt-driven compressors only)

- Check the tightening torque of the screws (8.2.11)

- Service the check valve (8.2.14)
- Overhaul belts, pistons, piston rings and valve plates
