6.3.6
Ensure easy access to the pressure switch, suction filter and condensate drain
regulator. To ensure proper ventilation and effective cooling, the compressor must be
at least 50 cm from the wall.
6.3.7
The control unit, if present, should be mounted on a vertical surface, a wall, a plate or
another structure.
6.4
Connection to an air system
6.4.1
When connecting the compressor to an air system or an execution unit, you must use
pneumatic valves and flexible hoses with the correct dimensions and properties
(diameter, pressure and temperature).
6.4.2
Compressed air under pressure is potentially dangerous. Pressurised lines must be
in good condition and properly connected.
6.4.3
If a valve tap is available, ensure that the connection to an air system is only realised
via the valve cock.
6.5
Connection to the power supply
6.5.1
We recommend that you have a qualified electrician connect compressors with voltages of
400V or more to the power supply, in accordance with the applicable health and safety rules
and regulations. In the case of 230V compressors, we recommend that the power system
be sufficiently fused prior to commissioning.
6.5.2
The supply line must be equipped with a suitable protective device to prevent the
occurrence of a short circuit.
6.5.3
Ensure that the values in the technical data sheet correspond with the actual power
supply parameters. The permissible voltage variation is ± 10% of the nominal value.
The tolerable frequency fluctuation is ± 1% of the nominal value. The voltage drop
between the power supply and the electric motor must not be more than 5% of the
nominal value (IEC 60204-1).
6.5.4
Schematic circuit diagrams for the compressors can be found in Appendix E.
