S eat Tilt
1 7 B
Using the seat tilt feature helps keep passengers
comfortable, especially on long trips. Specially
pressurized gas cylinders allow the seat to be tilted to any
position from most upright to the lowest within its range.
Use seat tilt to safely ease your passenger into a
comfortable position. Placing your Trav rsa wheelchair
in tilt also lowers the height of the wheelchair, making it
easier to fit through vehicle doors or other areas of low
clearance.
To Activate the Seat Tilt
-
Squeeze tilt handle with one hand while placing
your other hand on the bar to assist movement.
-
Raise or lower the seat tilt until the desired angle
is achieved.

B ack Recline
1 8 B
Your Trav rsa Transport Wheelchair features a reclining
back. The wheelchair can recline from upright to a flat
position or anywhere in between. Use back recline to
position your client optimally for a lateral transfers or
simply to increase their comfort. Always be sure to tilt the
wheelchair slightly prior to reclining. This prevents the
occupant's back from sliding along the back rest during
recline, which can cause damage to the skin. Always bring
the occupant back to an upright seated position after they
have boarded your vehicle. Passengers should never travel
in a reclined position.
To Activate the Back Recline
-
Squeeze recline handle with one hand while placing
your other hand on the bar to assist movement.
