Before any maintenance or cleaning work, lay the
lawnmower down on a level surface, switch off the
engine and remove the spark plug cap from the spark plug.
Never touch the exhaust, spark plug, or other metal
parts of the engine while the engine is running or
immediately after turning off the engine. Doing so can lead
to severe burns or electric shock.
• Tilt the mower to the right so the air filter is up, to avoid
fuel spillage and excess fuel in the carburettor, making
starting difficult;
• Inspect the blade for damage, cracks, and excessive rust
or corrosion;
• A blunt blade can be sharpened, but a blade that is too
worn, bent, cracked or damaged must be replaced;
• A torque wrench should always be used when installing
the blade;
• Always check that the blade's fixing bolt is tight.
If you remove the blade to sharpen or replace it, you will
need a torque wrench to tighten the bolt. Always wear
gloves when handling the blade.
• Remove the bolt with a drive socket. Use a wood block to
prevent the blade from rotating when removing the bolt.
Then remove the blade;
• Install the blade using the blade bolt and special
washers. Make sure to install the special washers with
the concave side facing the blade and the convex side
facing the bolt;
• Tighten the bolt with a torque wrench. Use a wood block
to prevent the blade from rotating when tightening the
bolt.
Wash the grass bag with a garden hose and let it dry
completely before using it again. Using the grass bag wet
will cause it to clog quickly.
Replacement:
• Remove the plastic clips, remove the grass bag's frame;
• Insert the frame into the new bag, and secure with the
plastic clips.
Dirty air filters reduce engine power, increase fuel
consumption and make start-ups more difficult.
Check and clean the air filter in warm soapy water. Dry
completely before reinstalling.
The use of a dirty filter will restrict the air flow in the
carburetor affecting the performance of the lawnmower.
If damaged or shrunk, replace with a new one.
1. Remove the cover by pressing the tabs;
2. Remove the filter;
3. Check the filter for damage and replace if necessary;
4. Clean the filter by tapping several times on a hard surface
to remove dirt, or using a compressor; never try to brush
the filter as this may damage it;
5. Clean dirt from the inside of the filter housing using a
damp cloth;
6. Reinstall the filter in the housing and place the cover.
