a.) Montage
The device must always be vertically suspended, operated with the connections downwards and protected from rain and sun if
possible, see picture above on the left. For wall mounting, it must be mounted on a fireproof wall. For outdoor mounting, a galvanized
metal box can be used as an accessory (Item No.:44656), it protects the device and at the same time absorbs the battery.
b.) Functional description of the device
Put the device into operation WITHOUT fence and earth. When connecting the 12V battery, pay attention to correct polarity (red + and
black -). If all fence LEDs (1) blink in stage II, the device is functional. If these do not flash, please check the BATTERY for voltage, see
table (c.). If the battery lamp (2) flashes red, the voltage of the 12V battery must be checked. If the battery lamp (2) flashes red, the
voltage of the 12V battery must be checked. If the fence light (1) does not flash, check the polarity of the 12V connection cable to the
battery or have the device checked by a specialist.
The device can optionally also be connected to a 230V AND 12V battery at the same time (back-up function). For this purpose, the
12V battery is connected via the connection (5) and a separate 230V adapter (item number 371012 - not included) to the
Take-off (4). For this purpose, the protective cap (4) must first be removed.
c.) Functional description with CONNECTED fence (fence + earth)
Fence‐LED (1) KV
Should the fence light (1) faster than approx. 1x blinking per second, the device must be switched off immediately and must be
professionally checked before re-commissioning.
!!! Attention: Earth rods are not included (use at least 3 earth rods with about 1m length) !!!
The proper functioning of the electric fence system must be checked daily at least once by a voltage measurement on the fence. The voltage in normal
ground at each point of the fence shall be at least 2000 V (for cattle at least 3000v, for sheep, goats, poultry and wild animals at least 4000v). For dry
soils we recommend this min. Voltages increase by 1000V each.
The electric fence must be checked daily, in particular the output voltage and - for battery devices - the battery voltage. Accumulators or. Batteries
must be recharged or replaced if necessary.
The proper mechanical condition of the fence must be checked regularly (for example weekly).
This device is covered by a 4-year warranty, according to our warranty conditions!
Safety instructions, grounding, commissioning, battery and battery maintenance, warranty conditions and possible sources
of error can be found in the general information!
