gently against the center of the bent lens while applying pressure
on the bottom to ease it into place.
CHANGE THE AUTO-DARKENING FILTER CARTRIDGE
You will need to replace the cartridge when it is not working correctly or
the non-replaceable battery is exhausted.
1.
Remove the outer lens and set aside.
2.
Swing the view plate upwards.
3.
Hold the view plate in one hand and place a finger in the indent, then
push until the ADF cartridge pops out of the frame.
4.
Hold the cartridge and pull it down and away from the view plate.
Discard the cartridge.
5.
Insert the top edge of the new cartridge into the view plate frame.
Make sure the solar cell is facing outward.
6.
Press the cartridge along the sides, top and bottom until it is firmly
seated. Any gap can let arc light through.
7.
Reinstall the outer lens.
CLEANING
Clean the helmet and filter with only a cloth or soft tissues. Do not use any
liquids, including water, as this can damage the filter cartridge.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or by-laws for
electronic devices, batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.
