CARE & MAINTENANCE
1.
Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier
to control and will have fewer problems.
2.
Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or
worn components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3.
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Only use accessories
intended for use with this tool. Replace damaged parts immediately.
4.
Maintain the tool' s labels and name plates. These carry important
information. If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd.
for replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool. An
improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the user and/or others.
CHANGE EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL LENS
The external and internal lenses will wear out and need replacement after a
period of use due to exposure to the heat, fumes and particulate matter
generated during welding.
1.
Swing the view plate out of the way.
2.
Push against the inner lens (K) from inside the helmet until it pops out of
the retaining tabs on the top and bottom. Discard the inner lens.
3.
The new inner cover lens is installed after the protective film is removed.
3.1 Insert one edge of the inner lens between the opening' s lower tabs.
3.2 Bend the lens in the middle and slide the other end under the
upper tabs and push into place until both ends are seated.
4.
Push the protective cover into the frame' s bottom slot, then bend it inward
enough to slide it into the top slot.
5.
Swing the view plate down.
5.1 Place a finger into the indent under the external lens (G) and lift
the lens upward. The lens should bend outward.
5.2 Grab a bent edge and pull downward to remove the lens from the
view plate.
5.3 Remove the protective film from the new cover lens.
5.4 Slip the top edge of the external lens between the upper frame' s
tabs.
5.5 Continue to push upwards until the lens bends outward enough
for the lower edge to fit between the lower frame' s tabs. Push
