ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
Letter references in parenthesis (A) refer to the included Identification Key.
ADJUST THE WELDING HELMET FIT
The headband should be adjusted both in diameter and height. The angle
between face and helmet should also be adjusted (recommended 10° to 12°).
1.
Adjust the headband diameter with the twist
knob on the headband. The knob is locked
until pushed in. Once unlocked, twist
clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to
loosen (Fig. 2).
2.
Adjust the headband height by releasing the
tab and changing the top strap hole. (Fig. 3).
3.
There are three slots on the headgear slider
to change the distance between the filter
and your eyes (Fig. 4). Once the slot is
chosen, tighten the headgear screws. Make
sure the same slot is chosen for both sides
for proper vision.
4.
Adjust the helmet position on the headband
with the side tab system. There are five
pegs on the right and left side of the
headband. Slide the tab on the helmet over
the peg on both sides to position the
welding helmet before fine tuning the
viewing angle in the next step (Fig. 5).
5.
Adjust the helmet to get the desired viewing
angle. Once the angle is correct, tighten the
two angle adjustment knobs (C) connecting
the headband to the helmet shell until snug.
The helmet should still swing up, but it should not drift downward
when in place for welding.
