SENSOR PHC LIFTER REPAIR
To replace the motor or motor coupling
1. On the top of the lifter, use a 3/32 inch Allen wrench to remove the 4 screws that secure the circular connector
(labeled "MOTOR") to the sheet metal.
2. Rotate the motor coupling as necessary and loosen the 7/64 inch clamping screws on the motor coupling.
3. Use a 3 mm Allen wrench to remove the 4 screws from the motor mount's flange.
4. Lift the motor off the assembly.
5. Reverse the order of the steps for installation.

To replace the ball screw assembly
Caution:
1. Remove the motor as described above.
2. Use a 1.5 mm Allen wrench to remove the set screw on the ball attachment nut.
Note:
The tiny brass disc for the set screw will fall out of the nut. Set it aside for reassembly. It cushions the set
screw to avoid damage to the threads.
3. With a 12 mm wrench, remove the square nut from the ball screw. Be careful not to damage the surface of the ball
screw. To prevent the ball screw from turning, use pliers with a protective layer of leather or 2 blocks of wood and a
clamp.
4. On the bottom of the lifter (inside), use a 2.5 mm Allen wrench to remove the 4 screws that hold the ball screw's
lower bearing flange in place.

Only experienced technicians should perform this procedure.
• Do not remove the ball nut from the ball screw or the ball screw
may be permanently damaged.
• Do not move the bearing carriage off the bearing rail.
• Do not remove the upper or lower aluminum blocks from the back
plate. These are permanently factory aligned and pinned.
