The three-way call is only required for older telephone systems in Great Britain. In other
countries the SD1+ is up-circuit to all other telephone terminals. In the event of an alarm,
the SD1+ interrupts any current telephone calls on down-circuit terminals to be able to
initiate an alarm call. An incoming call is answered in the event of an alarm and dialling the
alarm numbers begins. This function is a kind of blockade clearing and increases manipu-
lation security. During an active alarm call the display is locked. There is one exception to
this: alarm abort is programmed to abort with
