 Apply solder only to the tip of the tool at the point where
the tip touches the workpiece.
 Lift the tool away from the workpiece before turning the
pen off.
 After soldering, place the soldering tip cover on the unit
before laying down the tool when not in use.
 Locate the arrow on the soldering tip cover and line the
arrow up with the tool. Insert the tool into the tip cover
and push until you hear a click. The tab inside the tip
cover mates with the tool to turn the unit off.
NOTE: Do not touch the tip while the LED light is solid or
flashing. Allow 10 minutes for the soldering pen to cool
down before touching the tip.
 Clean the soldering tip as described in the Maintenance
section of this manual.
NOTE: Once the LED light turns off, allow 30 minutes for
the soldering pen to cool before storing the tool.
WARNING:
Always place the soldering tip cover on the unit before
laying the tool down. Lay the pen on its side where the
base is located, so the tip does not come in contact with
anything while it is heating or when not in use. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of damage to items, burns,
fire or serious personal injury.
AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
After 10 minutes, the unit will turn off. This preserves the tip
and prevents powering an unattended tool. To restore power,
press the button to turn the unit back on.
