4.3- Fitting or replacing a saw blade
Notes: - Tool MUST be unplugged before performing this operation.
- Wear protective gloves for handling the cutting blade.
Place the circular saw on its side on a flat surface.
Hold down the spindle lock button (13).
Use a hex key to loosen the blade screw (20).
Remove the blade screw (20) and the outer flange (21).
Raise the lower protective guard (19) and remove the saw blade (7).
Clean the flange and spindle.
Mount a new saw blade on the spindle, fit the outer flange and tighten the blade screw.
WARNING: The direction in which the blade rotates has to be the same as the direction of the arrow
marked on the housing.
IMPORTANT: After replacing the saw blade, make sure that the saw blade runs freely by turning the
blade by hand. Before using the saw again, check that the safety devices are in good working order.
Plug the machine into a power socket and run the saw under no load to check that it runs smoothly before
using it to cut any material.
WARNING: Do not use any abrasive wheels!
Only use sharp and undamaged saw blades. Cracked or distorted saw blades must be replaced immediately.
WARNING: Always wear sturdy gloves when handling or changing blades as they can be very sharp.
WARNING: Use only blade diameter 185mm in accordance with the markings.
WARNING: Use only saw blade with body thickness 2.4mm and 18T teeth in accordance with the manual.
4.4- Starting and Stopping (ON/OFF switching)
The tool is equipped with a lock-off button (3) to avoid unintentional starting.
To start the machine: press down the lock button (3) and then press the trigger switch (2).
To stop the machine: release the trigger switch (2).
CAUTION: Allow the blade to come to a complete standstill before setting the saw down.
V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
- The product is intended for domestic use (preferably indoors).
- The product is intended for cutting small wood materials, within tool's specified limits.
- Use the power tool only for dry work. Water penetration into a power tool increases the risk of electric
shock.
- Do not use the circular saw for working on products containing asbestos or other toxic or hazardous
materials (e.g. lead based paints).
- This power tool may not be used for purposes outside the described scope.
- Do not use the tool for purposes not appropriate (eg cutting of products containing hazardous materials ...),
or for any use not described in this manual.
- The tool is not intended for artisanal, commercial, professional and / or industrial use.
- Do not use other types of cutting blades other than those recommended by the manufacturer to avoid a
hazard.
5.2- Operation
1. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing for the work to perform.
2. Prepare the workpiece.
3. Clamp the workpiece, using a clamping device or blocks, to prevent it from moving during work.
4. Plug the tool to a suitable power source (refer to specifications on the rating plate).
Lay the power cord to the back of the tool to prevent it from getting into the cutting area so as to avoid
cutting or severing it.
5. Firmly hold the tool by the handles grip. Adopt a balanced and stable position.
6. Press the lock button and then the trigger switch to start the tool.
7. Wait until machine / accessory has reached full speed before starting cutting.
