3.4.6- Saw blade safety warnings
a) Only use saw blades recommended and only use saw blades if you have knowledge of how to use and
handle them.
b) Pay attention to the maximum rotational speed. The maximum rotational speed marked on the saw blade
shall not be exceeded. Where stated, the speed range shall be adhered to.
c) Do not use saw blades which are cracked. Repairing is not permitted.
d) Use the supplied saw blade only for cutting of wood, never for metal or plastic.
e) Longer period using may lead overheating the blade tips. Therefore, take breaks of approx. 15 minutes on
a regular basis to let the blade tips cool down.
3.4.7- Additional safety warnings
a) Do not reach into the chip ejector with your hands. They could be injured by rotating parts and chips
ejected at high velocity.
b) Do not work overhead with the saw. In this manner, you do not have sufficient control over the power
tool.
c) Use suitable detectors to determine if utility lines/ducts are hidden in the work area or call the local utility
company for assistance. Contact with electric lines can lead to fire and electric shock. Damaging a gas line
can lead to explosion. Penetrating a water line causes property damage or may cause an electric shock.
d) Do not operate the power tool stationary. It is not designed for operation with a saw table.
e) Do not use high speed steel (HSS) saw blades. Such saw blades can easily break.
f) Do not saw ferrous metals. Red hot chips can ignite the dust extraction.
g) When working with the power tool, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a secure stance.
The power tool is guided more secure when held with both hands.
h) Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped with clamping devices or in a vice is held more secure than
by hand.
i) Always wait until the blade has come to a complete stop before placing the tool down. The tool's blade
can jam and lead to loss of control over the power tool.
3.5- Additional Safety Instructions
a- Wear safety goggles
b- Set the On/Off switch to the "OFF" position when the power supply is interrupted, e. g., in case of a
power failure or when the mains plug is pulled. This prevents uncontrolled restarting.
c- Keep your workplace clean. The mixture of materials is particularly dangerous. Dust from light alloys
can burn or explode.
d- Never use the tool with a damaged cable. Do not touch the damaged cable and pull the mains plug
when the cable is damaged while working.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. A damaged cable increases the risk of an electric shock.
e- Sawing wood materials generates a considerable amount of dust.
Avoid any accumulation of dust in the workplace. Dust can easily ignite.
Dust from materials such as paints containing lead, some wood, minerals or metals, can be harmful to
health. Contacting or inhaling dust can cause allergic reactions and / or respiratory illnesses to the operator
or to persons in the vicinity.
Certain dusts such as dust from oak or beech wood are considered to be carcinogenic, especially in
combination with wood treatment additives (chromate, lazure).
Materials containing asbestos should only be worked by qualified persons.
- If possible, use a dust extraction device suitable for the material.
- Ensure your work area is well ventilated.
- It is recommended to wear a respiratory device with a filtration level of class P2.
Observe the regulations specific to the materials to be treated in your country
f- Block the workpiece. A workpiece clamped by suitable clamping devices or in a vice is better
secured than held with the hands.
g- Keep the work area clean. Mixtures of materials are particularly hazardous. Light metal dust may
be explosive or flammable.
