 Should a malfunction occur do not use the unit any further and
do not attempt to repair it yourself. In case of questions or
problems turn to our customer service.
Maintenance, Cleaning and Storing
 If you do not intent to use the pole saw for some time, e.g.
over the winter, the bio-degradable chain saw oil must be
drained from the oil tank and the oil ducts, because it will gum
and might damage the machine.
 Pour remaining oil out of the oil tank and store it in a dark, cool
place. Pour a spoonful of mineral oil into the oil tank. Spray
penetrating lubricant on the chain and let the saw run for a few
moments to spread the mineral oil through the oil pump and
the oil ducts.
 When using the pole saw again, liberally apply chainsaw oil.
 Hang the pole saw upright, with the saw end on top.
 Before cleaning and maintaining the pole saw, unplug the
device. Do not pull the cord to unplug from the wall socket but
grasp the plug itself to unplug.
 Always follow the instructions for lubricating, chain tensioning
and changing accessories. An improperly tensioned or lubri-
cated chain may either break or increase the risk of kickback.
 Replace dull saw chains and have the chains sharpened
professionally.
 Do not wipe the housing of the machine with sharp detergents
or aggressive chemicals in order not to damage the surfaces.
 Always switch off the pole saw when transporting or carrying
the machine. Slide the guide bar cover over the guide bar.
 Store the pole saw indoors in a dry and dust-free place.
Protect the machine from dust and extreme temperatures.
