Use only original accessories and original replacement parts.
For using the pole saw, we recommend the use of an RCD
with a residual current of < 30 mA. In Switzerland the utilisa-
tion of an RCD is obligatory.
Never move the pole saw by pulling the cord. Make sure the
cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord and
make sure the cord is always behind the machine.
Should the appliance become damaged, do not use it and
have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer
support department. Do not disassemble the appliance or try
repairing it yourself.
Personal safety equipment must be worn at any time. When
working with the pole saw wear a helmet, protective gloves
and eye protection in order to protect the eyes from falling
shavings and oil splashes.
We also recommend wearing cut-proof and tight-fitting clothes
and safety boots.
Avoid using the pole saw close to power lines. Keep a safety
distance of at least 10 m to over ground power lines.
Do not stand under the branch you are
cutting. Branches may fall without warning.
Work at an angle of no more than 60°.
Keep bystanders away from the working
area.
Keep in mind that, when using the upper
point of the saw, the pole saw may kick back
quite violently.
Keep your eyes not only on the branches
you are cutting; also permanently observe
the ground to prevent tripping over branches
that already have fallen down.
Always wear gloves when handling the saw chain.
