Preventive Maintenance Schedule:
Ground Level: During Each Servicing of the Camera, or raising/lowering of the payload:
- Ensure that all camera/payload attachments are rigid, properly installed and secure.
- Watch carriage/payload system during operation for any abnormal problems.
- Visually inspect cable for any damage, degradation or corrosion.
- Visually ensure lowering arm is rigidly and properly installed and connected to structure and no "looseness" is evident during rising or lowering payload is noticeable.
- Carriage lowers and raises and enters full home position without noticeable changes or interruptions form mechanical or electrical problems.
- General observation of all equipment for proper operation and in good operating order.
At Installed Elevation: During Each Servicing Lifting Arm at the elevated position; OR:
- No Later Than every 24 Calendar Months or 50 lowering and raising sequences, whichever comes first.
- Disconnect Power to the unit.
- Open top of lowering arm.
- Visually inspect and ensure interior of lowering arm is free and clear of any and all debris. Clean as necessary to restore unit interior to a clean and debris free
environment.
- V isually inspect for any loose or missing parts.
- Visually inspect for any rust, corrosion or degradation that will effect the unit operation.
- Thoroughly inspect lifting cable, pulleys and device for any sign of degradation or damage.
- Ensure all switches, brackets and sensors are securely seated and attached to their intended mounts and not damaged in any way.
IF ANY OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS ARE FOUND; THE LOWERING ARM MUST BE PROPERLY REPAIRED BY QUALIFIED AND TRAINED
