Operating Guidelines:
 Operator control input is through the Operator Control/Interface Box.
 The operator must have a key to operate the unit.
 Hold the key in a "counter-clockwise" rotation direction to Raise the unit.
 Hold the key in a "clockwise" direction to Lower the unit.
 Do Not allow unit to rotate or twist during hoisting – When returning camera mount carriage up to housing, it is mandatory that the cables are not allowed to
twist. If the cables do become twisted, discontinue lifting. If the cables become twisted and do not become untwisted, lower the unit to correct the cables prior to
continuing to lift the unit. Resume lifting after cables have uncrossed and carriage is stable.
 Use guide rope provision to steady load during lifting – (especially on adverse days - i.e. – WINDY) – Use eyebolt provision or camera mount coupling area to
attach a rope for stabilizing unit during lifting. Do not pull carriage off to one side or pull down hard on load. Only use rope when needed to stabilize unit as required
during lifting. Remove rope after camera is fully stowed in lift housing.
 There are (9) switches that perform various functions in the system. They are:
- Over Tension Mechanical Switch – Shuts system off if over tension condition is detected.
- Under Tension Mechanical Switch – Shuts system off if under tension condition is detected.
- Low spool Mechanical Switch – Shuts system off and only allows lifting direction.
- Carriage Home Locking Pin Electrical Proximity Switch – Detects when the carriage locking pin is activated.
- Carriage at TOP position Electrical Proximity Switch - Detects when the carriage is at home position
- Motor Current sensor in control box (chip on PCB Board) – Shuts system off if over current condition is detected. Must power down and back up to continue.
- Thermal Circuit Breaker on winch Motor – Shuts winch off if activated. Must reset button on winch unit.
- (2) Wire Rope position sensing Mechanical Switches – Causes the system to stop lifting and pauses for 5 seconds or until allowed to continue lifting.
 The following Conditions will cause a stop condition and require a power down and restart to correct:
- A ctivation of Motor Current sensor in control box (chip on PCB Board) - 4 RED LED Blinks on operator Control Box; Pause: then repeats).
- ( If re-setting the power does not clear the fault and the carriage will not move up or down, the unit will require a visual inspection to insure that the locking pin is not
activated prior to the carriage entering the home position – SEE BELOW .)
 The following conditions will cause the system to stop and require a MANDATORY cable inspection and mechanical reset of the locking pin at the
unit to restart.
- A ctivation of the Carriage Home Locking Pin Electrical Proximity Switch with NO activation of Carriage at TOP position Electrical Proximity Switch - 5 RED LED Blinks
on operator Control Box; Pause: then repeats).
- ( If this condition is found, the cables have become crossed and require a full inspection for any damage, prior to activating the unit. Manually retracting the locking pin
after insuring no cable or other component damage has occurred will restore activation of the system. )
IMPORTANT OPERATING NOTE:
 Do Not leave operator interface control box plugged in when not in use, unattended or allowed to become wet. Do Not allow the RJ45 connector for
operator interface control box to become wet.
