Use belt with loops!
Fasten belt end using flat connectors.
To Fig 11: Push the flat connector through the belt
loop in the direction of the arrow.
Secure the connector against movement
using a shim, circlip and screw.
C C a a u u t t i i o o n n : : Note the direction in which the
belt unwinds! Turn the crank in the "Lift"
direction when the belt is wound up.

The load can be stopped in any position by simply
letting go of the crank.

Turn the crank anti-clockwise to lower the load.
The automatic brake prevents the crank from
kicking back (load pressure brake).
W W a a r r n n i i n n g g : :
The rope (belt) must only be wound up so far
under load that a flanged wheel overhang of at
least 1.5 x cable diameter is guaranteed. This pre-
vents the winch from overload and stops the cable
from running from the drum sideways.
The cable must be wound round the drum at least
twice under load.

Minimum tractive force for perfect brake function:
25 daN. If this minimum load does not exist the
braking function does not take place!
The cable (under load) must be kept under slight
tension for correct winding.

Check the wire cables regularly for wear. Removal
criteria as per DIN 15020:
E.g. crushing, breaks in the individual wires.
When using a belt: Check the belt for damage
regularly, e.g. cracks, scrapes, fibre breaks; if the
cables or belts are damaged, they must be repla-
ced immediately.
The winch has already been lubricated in the
works. It is recommended however that the drive
shaft bearing bushes and the drum hub be oiled
regularly.
Grease the toothed wheel rim regularly.
Ensure that the crank gear is always lubricated.
W W a a r r n n i i n n g g : :
Do NOT oil or grease the brake mechanism!
A competent person must inspect the cable winch
at least once a year in accordance with the opera-
ting conditions and the situation in which it is
used. This inspection is required in accordance
with the German Accident Prevention Regulations
for Winches, Lifting and Pulling Machinery (VGB 8
§23).

The winch must be fastened using three M10
hexagonal bolts DIN 933 8.8 and shims DIN 125.

Determine the fitting position so that when the
winch is used the fleet angle is no more than 4°
(1:15). - Illustration 10

If the cable is led over deflection pulleys, they
must have a minimum diameter of 11.2 x cable
diameter!

The cable winch must not be used for securing
loads! (e.g. Car Transporter). Here the load requi-
res separate lashing as the cable winch friction
disk brake can be loosened by vibration during the
journey.
Permissible ambient temperature: -20° - +50°

Winches are marked with a spare part identi-fica-
tion number (ETI No.). This ETI No., the winch
type and the required component must be quoted
when ordering. On request you will receive the
complete spare parts list with pictorial representa-
tion.
