If the phone line status indicator (11) is green, the line is on standby when
the LED is not lit the line is busy when the LED is red/green blinking is a
call. (Ringing)
Note:
This test can affect other display LEDs, but it has no effect on the test result.
Audible continuity
This function allows you to check cables or circuits for continuity.
•
Turn on the transmitter.
•
Set the function selector switch (6) to the left position. (CONT)
•
Connect the adapter to the RJ11 Jack (10) of the transmitter. Connect the
cable to the red and black crocodile clamp.
•
When the CONT status indicator (5) lights up, the circle is continuous. The
lower the impedance of the circle, the brighter the light will be.
A second method works like the line search.
•
If the audio signal is received at another outlet of the tested circuit, the
circle is continuous.
Check the connection between the network cable and the
switch
You can use this function to test whether a network cable is connected to a
port in the switch box.
•
Turn on the transmitter.
•
Set the function selector switch (6) to the left position. (CONT)
•
Connect the cable you want to test to the RJ45 socket (1) of the
transmitter. Connect the suspected other end to an RJ45 port on the
switch box.
•
Press the button TEST (4) to start the test.
